Imagine a world with no offices. Why would we, when we can analyze spreadsheets on the football pitch, reveal chemistry molecules with paint brushes, and customize the public park?

AR can

• Collage digital tools. There will be no need to switch between apps in your phone or rely on external monitors.
• Create infinite interfaces for reality. Do you want to see how plants evaporate? Or change the facade of that building to Ancient Mayan structures?
• Decrease eye strain by increasing the rate in which our eyes go to objects at different distances.
• An opportunity to have a less sedentary lifestyle by Translate previous human behavior from activities that required us to sit down to activities that enable us to get up. This offers us an opportunity to live a less sedentary lifestyle and industries to bring in new types of workers by making the industry independent of working style.

Why AR is not VR

• AR gets you close to other people’s pheromones
• AR gets you out of the house.
• AR is awed by reality and makes us more mindful of how real objects relate in our environment.

AR can be the next big thing since paper. Still, I am a 23-year-old idealist. My ideas for AR arise from ignorance. My purpose is to show augmented reality’s potential, not to prescribe how augmented reality can be used. I hope others will distinguish useful from irrelevant and adjust accordingly.

Before augmented reality gets adopted, we should meet the UN’s sustainable development goals to ensure that more pressing problems get solved. If we can become more sustainable, we will have everything we always wanted.
